MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE UNTO THE LORD
Psalm 100:1
St. Francis Choir
\
The St. Francis choir is a dedicated group of singers who sing for the 10:30 Eucharist each Sunday and special services throughout the church year.
Membership is open to all singers from young adult and up. Rehearsals are held on Thursday evening from 6:45 to 8:15. No audition is necessary.
Our music ranges from the classical composers to the most popular of today’s writers. Joseph Martin, Mary McDonald, Don Besig, Craig Courtney, and Tom Fettke to name a few. See a sample list below of anthems the past two years.
The choir is directed by Bob Keifling and accompanied by the very talented Judy Vekasy. Bob has an extensive background in choral music from the age of 8, and a passion for sacred music.

The musical talent of Judy Vekasy as our pianist is quite extensive. She is quite accomplished and there is no piece that is a challenge to her. Not only are we fortunate enough to have her. Our local little theater (Highlands Little Theater) has been blessed by her talents as well as she has accompanied many of their musical productions. Judy has won two Zenons (local equivalent of an Oscar) for her amazing talent.
Bob Keifling our Choir Director, not only does he have a soothing tenor voice, he plays the folk quitar (12 string). Each Sunday during the Eucharist, Bob plays several "more contemporary type" songs while the parishioners receive communion.
Our Rector, Elizabeth Myers also has a beautiful soprano voice as well as being an accomplished pianist. Elizabeth's love of music is reflected in our choir and in her celebration of the liturgy.
St. Francis always welcomes the musical talent of our church family. If you have an interest in music or playing an instrument, please contact Bob Keifling....his email address in included in the "contact us" page.
