Rite II Service with healing prayer

The service is our OSL (Order of St. Luke) Service

It is generally a Rite II service with special prayers and intentions

designated in the Prayers of the People.

A special time of Prayer and "Laying on of hands" is offered

at each service for the special needs and intentions brought before

the Clergy and intercessors.

About our Services

 

8:00 a.m. Sunday Morning

8:00 Service on a Sunday Morning is a traditional

Rite I Service

The service begins on page 323 of the Book of Common  

Prayer.

The rubrics provide for a more penitential rite with more kneeling than standing.

Music is only offered for special services or occasions.

Holy Eucharist is served each Sunday.

We follow the traditional church calendar and seasons.

 

 

10:30 a.m. Sunday Morning

 

10:30 Service on a Sunday Morning is a Rite II Service

The service begins on page 355 of the Book of Common 

Prayer.

Music is offered throughout the service: processional music, Gloria, sequence hymn, doxology, sanctus and a recessional from the 1982 Hymnal. An Offertory anthem is sung by the

choir each week. Our choir director, offers more contemporary style folk music during communion.

Holy Eucharist is served each Sunday.

We follow the traditional church calendar and seasons.

 

6:00 p.m. Sunday Evening

 

6:00 Service on a Sunday Evening is a Rite III Service.

We call it P.P.S. or Prayer, Praise, and Sacrament

The service is offered in Power point and projected on an

overhead screen which allows for more freedom in worship.

The service is more contemporary in style and the music the same.

The parishioners are enthusiastic in their worship where you   will see hands raised and gifts of the Spirit revealed. This comes from a genuine belief in the immediate presence of God and a

heartfelt desire to worship Him.
